Latest versions of web browsers

ALL web browsers continue to evolve, bringing in new features, and providing security patches, so it is good practice to make sure you have the latest version of the web browser(s) that you use.

Since our last update, Mozilla Firefox has moved to version 7 and Google Chrome has moved to version 14.

At the time of publication these are the latest (stable) versions of the most popular web browsers:

  • Internet Explorer version 9 (requires Microsoft Windows 7 or later)
  • Internet Explorer version 8 (works with Microsoft Windows XP and Vista)
  • Mozilla Firefox version 7 (available for Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Linux)
  • Google Chrome version 14 (available for Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Linux)
  • Apple Safari version 5.1 (available for Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Apple iOS)
  • Opera version 11 (available for Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Linux, Apple iOS)
