Watching the LA Lakers this season you’d swear it was 2005 all over again.
The Lakers are scaling back financially, after a successful hat-trick of Finals appearances peters out to a disappointing season. Coach Phil Jackson ‘retires’ from coaching and the Triangle offense is dropped like a hot rock and most of the key players that made championships possible have been shown through the departure gate at LAX. In fact all traces of the Jackson era are being swiftly buried.
